Since Jul. 2009 Albacete – Los Lanos, in Spain, has become the permanent base of the NATO Tactical Leadership Program, once headquartered at Florennes, Belgium.
Through the photographs of The Aviationist’s contributor Tony Lovelock see which aircraft were hosted by the Spanish airport during TLP 2012-1, from Jan. 16 to Feb. 10.
Among the participating combat planes, many with a recent experience in the Libya Air War: the U.S. F-16CJs of the 480FS/52FW, the Super Etendard of the French Navy, the Rafale Cs, Mirage 2000Ds and Mir 2000Cs of the French Air Force; the F-2000As of the Italian Air Force, the AV-8B+ Harriers of the Italian Navy and the F-16AMs of both the Belgian Air Force and Royal Netherlands AF.
