The following video clearly shows a Syrian Arab Air Force Mig-23BN hit by anti-aircraft artillery fire on Aug. 13, 2012 over MoHasen town near Deir Ezzour, in eastern Syria.

Therefore, not only the L-39 combat trainers and the Mil Mi-8/17 Hip and -25 Hind gunships are currently attacking the Free Syrian Army positions in Syria. Even the Mig-23 are being flown by the Assad regime against the opposition forces.

So far, the Mig-23 alongside other combat planes as the Mig-29 and Su-24 fighter jets were only spotted taking part to drills in the desert.
