On Aug. 11 and 12, the Russian Air Force celebrated its 100th anniversary with an airshow at Zhukovsky, Moscow.
During the three-day air show, President Vladimir Putin said the Russian Air Force will be re-equipped with more than 600 new combat planes and 1,000 helicopters by 2020, since the modernization of the service is among the key priority for the government.
All the most interesting Russian hardware took part to the air display, that included mass flybys, heavy formations of Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers, Su-27s, MiG-29s, Su-24s and the new Sukhoi PAK FA (T-50).
