The following video was released by the U.S. Coast Guard on Oct. 30.
It is particularly interesting because it witnesses, through images and audio, the rescue of 14 people from life rafts in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 90 miles southeast of Hatteras, N.C., on Monday, Oct. 29, when the replica 18th-century sailing vessel, rolled over in Superstorm Sandy‘s 18-foot waves.
The first CG MH-60 Jayhawk to arrive on scene hoisted five people whereas a second helicopter rescued nine people. All the survivors were taken to Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., with no life-threatening conditions. Two people remain missing.
