B-1 Lancer’s take offs are almost always impressive thanks to the striking afterburners lights.
The following video gives a hint to what a “Bone” head-on take off may look like in case the strategic bomber‘s pilot decides to show some friends the aircraft’s ground effect capabilities.
Noteworthy, the footage was shot at a deployed airbase, most probably Al Udeid, west of Doha, in Qatar: noise abatement and safety procedures stateside usually prevent such maneuvers to be performed at Dyess or Ellsworth Air Force Base.
