At least two Air Malta flights flew a special flight path to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
On Feb. 14, Air Malta 14J, an Airbus 319, and Air Malta 216, an Airbus 320, drew a heart in the sky over the Mediterranean sea during a round trip charter flight from Luqa.
Their flight paths could be observed on Flightradar24.com thanks to their Mode-S transponders that broadcast their position to a Maltese receiver that made it available to everyone on the Internet.
Thanks to the ADS-B we can say that only AMC216 flew a perfect heart-shaped flight route that brought the airliner over Sicily and back, as the image in this post shows.
