Red Arrows turn 50 and get a celebrative paint job

UKโ€™s Red Arrows aerobatic display team has just unveiled a new tail fin livery to mark their 50th Display Season. It is very British, as the scheme shows a Union Jack formed with 4 airplane silhouettes.

โ€œThe makeover is the most significant change to the look of the Teamโ€™s famous aircraft in its history,โ€ the Royal Air Force says on its website.

Red Arrows is one of the most iconic display teams ever established.

They currently fly on BAe Hawks, in their characteristic red livery and this year they plan to perform 85 displays this year in nine different countries.
